In cooperation with the USDA, Foster Farms has temporarily suspended operations at its Livingston, CA production facility to sanitize the plant. A recall has been issued in Canada due to an outbreak of salmonella traced to mangoes imported from Mexico. The salmonella bacterium can cause infections resulting in serious health consequences or death.
There have been no reports of illness related to any product in our stores. However, out of an abundance of caution, Save Mart Supermarket has removed all mangoes from its shelves.
