It's grilling season Save Mart fans! Here is a delicious recipe for beef kabobs that's great for the whole family. Enjoy!
Ingredients
1 lb Master Cut Beef Petite Sirloin Steaks, cut into 1 ½ inch cubes
1 EACH bell pepper, red onion, AND zucchini, cut into chunks
1 cup whole mushrooms
1/3 cup EACH teriyaki sauce AND barbecue sauce
2 tablespoons seedless blackberry or raspberry preserves
1/4 cup Zinfandel OR White Zinfandel
Preparation
- Coat grill rack with nonstick cooking spray. Preheat grill to medium heat (300 to 350 degrees)
- Thread beef and vegetables on 8 metal or soaked wooden skewers, alternating beef and vegetables.
- In small pot stir in sauces, preserves and wine. Simmer for 3 to 5 minutes over medium-low heat. Pour ½ cup sauce into separate bowl for basting.
- Grill kabobs 5 to 7 minutes per side or to desired doneness, turning occasionally and brushing frequently with ½ cup sauce, serve with remaining (non-basting) sauce.

Beef Tip: Kabobs cook fast! Choose tender cuts of beef like: sirloin, ribeye, and New York steaks. Roast cuts: tri-tip, rump, rib, and tenderloin. Avoid selecting beef cuts that state cooking method as slow cooking or stew on the packaging.
